Tom Bonnell, IDSA, is the head of design for the Sleep & Respiratory Care business group at Philips. In the past 11 years, he has built the Philips Design’s studio in Pittsburgh into an award winning, multi-discipline design team.
Prior to Philips, Bonnell was the design director for Kohler, responsible for the design of kitchen and bath products. Designing innovative products for people around the use and joy of water within the home helped cultivate his viewpoint on designing for the experience.
Bonnell earned a bachelor’s degree in industrial design from the University of Cincinnati. He has more than 30 years of experience in design, design research, product development, innovation and brand custodianship.
