Senior Product Designer, The Metcalfe Group
Scott Urban is a senior product designer at The Metcalfe Group, a design and engineering firm just outside of Cleveland, OH. He tackles mechanical problems with empathy and practices industrial design with an eye towards functionality and manufacturability. Working with multinational corporations to small startups, he blends mechanical design, aesthetics, and ergonomics to create great user experiences, and tries to make the world a little better in the process.
Urban received a BFA in Industrial Design from the Rochester Institute of Technology, with minors in Sociology/Anthropology and Mechanical Engineering Technology. Originally from central New York, he has lived in the Cleveland area for 13 years and is always looking to find more that the city has to offer (especially now with a three-and half-year-old in tow).
