Nick Heitmann is a designer, engineer, maker, musician, and Air Force veteran. With a multi-faceted education spanning technical training and expressive creativity, his experience informs and enables his interdisciplinary curiosity.
Nick graduated with an Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering from Northern Essex Community College, where he first explored his fascination with analytical problem solving and mechanical design. Inspired to exercise his creativity, he changed directions and attended Massachusetts College of Art and Design, earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Industrial Design (Dept. Honors).
During his time in higher education, Nick enlisted in the Massachusetts Air National Guard, where he served as a fighter jet engine maintenance technician and Non-Commissioned Officer.
Nick is currently working in a dynamic position consisting of fabrication, engineering, and design at Black Cat Labs in Somerville, MA.
