Michael Herda joined Eclipse Product Development as Principal Industrial Designer and is responsible for managing operations, quality systems, research and creative development of complex medical programs to deliver authentic and meaningful design solutions to drive progress and set a higher standard of care. All the while delivering expertise with standards such as IEC 62366 and HE-75 to define user needs and establish design inputs to successfully meet FDA compliance. As a strategic advisor on high-level business challenges, long-term planning and highly collaborative project management, he has consistently delivers profitability and growth in market share. He remains involved in a hands-on capacity to both teach and support team development with a balance of technical and critical thinking skill sets. Michael has recently been appointed as Medical Section, Vice Chair for (IDSA) Industrial Designers Society of America. Michael is a graduate of Syracuse University’s five year program for Industrial Design currently holding 10 design and 3 utility patents.
