Meredith DeZutter

Service Designer, Mayo Clinic Meredith DeZutter is a service designer at the Mayo Clinic, where her work focuses on creating services and experiences for people: people who bring their unique behaviors, motivations and values to every aspect of their daily lives. Her work seeks to understand the individuality of people into the complexity of health and health care systems. Much of her work at Mayo Clinic has focused on collaborative design and innovation within the practice: using design thinking and strategy to create innovation roadmaps, defining new health and health care service models, and redefining where and how care occurs. This work is aligned with the realities of today with an eye to the future, considering disruptive technologies and social drivers, as well as the increasingly competitive landscape of health care delivery. Meredith has over 25+ years of global consulting experience and leading design and innovation efforts at Mayo Clinic. She has delivered lectures and papers on new ideas and methodologies in service design and research to professional societies, health care organizations and corporations. Meredith has a BFA in Industrial Design from Carnegie Mellon University.
