Matt Anthony is the director of Cincinnati Made, where he mostly manages and grows its First Batch program—a five-month business accelerator that selects entrepreneurs with a prototype of a physical product and gives them business guidance, mentors, legal support, space and a budget to work with local manufacturers.
The goal is to grow new consumer product companies and shine a light on existing manufacturing resources by tying them to the excitement around entrepreneurship. The UC DAAP graduate and undergraduate design alum discovered an interesting match between new product development and local manufacturing that continues to drive his work.
