Women in Design Committee | 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024

Statement of Candidacy (2023-2024 term)

As a current member of the IDSA Women in Design Committee, I look forward to continuing my support of the existing West District chapters in Seattle and San Francisco.

In our inaugural years since 2021, we have developed five goals to better support IDSA, empower existing WID Chapters, and help establish new Chapters through our broader community.

  1. AWARENESS of female designers through amplifying their voices in IDSA media outlets and beyond
  2. CHAPTER onboarding for new groups forming
  3. MENTORSHIP for women and allies Leaders
  4. DATA reviews and collection in areas that affect Women in Design within IDSA’s broader DEI initiatives
  5. INFLUENCE the IDSA board, Leaders, and industry regarding gender parity topics

Together with five other IDSA WID Committee members, I look forward to completing the above goals during our term and onboard new committee members as we all work together to enable women in the industrial design community to grow stronger, ultimately reaching parity for all gender identities within Industrial Design.
