Laura Dye, IDSA
Director of Global Organization Development | Nike
Design Foundation President: 2017 – Current
Laura Dye, IDSA, believes design can change communities, organizations and the world. In pursuit of this belief, she has crafted a path combining two fields that value a human-centered approach to change and innovation—design thinking—and organization development (OD), which fuses organizational strategy, behavioral science and systems thinking with the theory and practice of leading change.
Dye is a director of global organization development at Nike, where she focuses on organization strategy and design across the company and for brands like Jordan and Converse. At Nike, Dye also worked as a design studio director, taking a fresh look at people, practices and processes. Previously, she worked as a design strategy manager for Johnson & Johnson’s Global Strategic Design Office where she created strategies for beauty brands and technologies and used design thinking to shift organizational culture and product development process.
Dye has 14 years of experience in strategy, product design and development and co-creation. She holds a bachelor’s in product design from ArtCenter College of Design in Pasadena, CA and a master’s degree in organization development from American University in Washington, DC.
