CEO & Founder, Sprout Studios
Jordan is a Boston-born, award-winning designer who is inspired by the entrepreneurial spirit of design. He is an innovator, investor and mentor for many Boston and San Francisco based startups. In his current capacity, Jordan is the CEO and Principal of Sprout Studios, Sprout Ventures and Sprout Labs and Founder of newSprout Foundation, a non-profit that creates mobile apps for charity.
Jordan has designed products, brands and experiences for many of the world's top companies & design consultancies. Some of which include, Accenture, Alienware, Astro Studios, Boarshead, Bose, Burton Snowboards, CVS, Disney, Dell, Eleven, Pabst Blue Ribbon, Fisher Price, Hasbro, Herman Miller, HP, Honda, IDEO, Microsoft, Kohler, Kubota, Motorola, New Balance, Nike, Padi, Puma, P&G, Kohler, LG, Razorfish, Seagate, Samsung, Staples, Target and Ziba Design.
Throughout his career Jordan has been an active member in both the Boston and San Francisco design communities, serving as chair for IDSA Boston, as well as lecturing on the power of design at numerous universities, conferences and corporations including the Consumer Electronics Show, Harvard university, MIT, Mass Art, Northeastern, RIT, Suffolk, San Francisco State and many others. He has served as a Juror for the prestigious IDEA Business Week Design Awards and has sat on the Board of Trustees at Design Museum Boston and Drop n Coalition.
He holds a BFA in Industrial Design from Rochester Institute of Technology and his work has been published in numerous publications ranging from The Wall Street Journal to Wired, and mostly recently The New York Times. His work has received multiple design awards including the Good Design Awards, Red Dot Design Awards, Fast Companies Innovation by Design Awards and Time Magazines Innovation of the year.
