Creative Director | o-ii studio
Born and raised in the Northern Virginia/ DC area, Jonathan is a Korean-American creative director currently based in Toronto, Ontario.
Starting his career in design consulting, Jonathan worked in San Francisco for 5 years as a core member of frog's industrial design group. His experience there spanned across leading brands in the tech, retail, automotive, government, and healthcare industries. After frog, Jonathan moved to Canada in early 2020 to pursue a new adventure with e-commerce powerhouse, Shopify. As a part of Shopify's budding hardware division, Jonathan helped design and ship best-in-class products in a company that was new to 1st-party hardware. He worked at the forefront of commerce innovation while diving deep into the nitty-gritty of building consumer electronics from the ground up.
In the Fall of 2023, Jonathan left corporate design and took the leap to start his own brand: o-ii studio. At o-ii, Jonathan aims totake his years of design knowledge to make his own products and work as an independent creative house.
