John Muhlenkamp IV is an industrial designer on the GoPro design team where he finds himself at the crossroads of design, technology, and creative content. For nearly a decade, among many other projects, he has helped progress the evolution of the little camera that millions of people around the world have come to love. While at GoPro, John has been named on well over 100 patents for a diverse range of innovations and ornamental designs. Before being invited to join GoPro in 2014, John ran a small design consultancy in Northern California working with clients such as Intel, HP, Verifone, Thule, Tupperware, Hasbro, Ahnu, and more. During his sixteen-year career he has been able to rub shoulders with world-class artists, engineers, and technology leaders.
A native of California, John now resides in the mountains of Utah with his wife, four children, dog, and growing car collection. He enjoys spending time with his kids and tries to prioritize having fun while dealing with the fast-paced rigor of the tech/design world. He holds a BFA in Industrial Design from Brigham Young University.
