Statement of Candidacy

As Midwest Representative for the IDSA Education Council over the past 2 years I’ve worked closely with IDSA members to develop compelling content for the IDSA Education Symposium. Similarly, I’ve had the privilege of working alongside education council members to reimagine content submission formats, identify qualified reviewers, and develop evaluation criteria for feedback and acceptance. The feedback to date has been overwhelmingly positive, and while I’m proud of the work we’ve completed together, I’m confident we can build on these successes to develop even better programming, student outreach, and education related content for our annual symposium. My objective for the next 2 years would be to increase student engagement, enhance research and education outreach, enhance publication opportunities for our education community, and continue to improve the education symposium experience. Thank you all for your consideration and, if elected, I look forward to continuing to represent the Midwest through the IDSA Education Council.
