Greg Greeson, IDSA | GRIDdesign
CEO
May 27, 1977 Certificate of Merit
A rare combination of artist, industrial designer, entrepreneur and businessman, Greg Greeson has led design teams in major corporations and founded start-up ventures in three countries. A graduate of California’s Art Center College of Design, he designed automobiles at Opel and Volkswagen in Germany; founded the Art Center’s campus in Vevey, Switzerland; and has consulted, in Europe and the U.S., to major automakers worldwide, producing prototypes and proposals for vehicle designs such as the 2005 Mustang. Industrial design projects have included space planning and interior design concepts for the University of Texas Health Information Technologies department, the Livestrong Foundation, and LivingDirect.com.
He founded, grew, and sold (in 2004) EURWAY, a retail operation in the U.S. furniture business, to $30 million in revenue. As CEO, he positioned the firm as a pioneer in European-style residential and commercial furnishings, marketed in Dallas, Austin and Houston superstores and nationwide on the Internet. He repurchased the company from its bankruptcy trustee in 2010 and has re-launched it as exclusively eCommerce: eurway.com.
Greeson guest-lectures at St. Edward’s University’s MBA program, serves on local boards and as a judge at the University of Texas’ annual MBA Business Plan Competition.
