Daniel Cuffaro is a designer, educator and entrepreneur. He consults in the areas of industrial design, design strategy and user experience, and is an expert witness in IP litigation. He is the chair of the Department of Industrial Design and the Anne Fluckey Lindseth Professor of industrial design at the Cleveland Institute of Art, and he created Abeo Design LLC, a sustainable commercial furniture company. Formerly he directed the design group at Altitude Inc, an award-winning product development firm in Boston. He has won several IDEA honors and holds multiple patents. He has written for the Innovation journal, The Design Management Institute Journal and co-authored the book Process, Materials and Measurements. Cuffaro co-founded the District of Design economic development initiative aimed at positioning northeast Ohio as a recognized center of design and innovation excellence. He is pursuing a doctorate in management from the Weatherhead School of Management.
