Angie Kim is an award-winning Industrial Designer specializing in Soft Goods and Wearable Tech. She has over 15 years of experience helping international startups and Fortune 500 companies shape and build creative visions to reality. She believes the integration of textiles with hardware and technology is the future of physical design as products become more connected and synced with our lives.
In 2014, she launched her own label AYK LLC, a fashion brand of handcrafted leather products. The signature look showcased an airbrushed treatment on vegetable tanned leather creating a smooth gradient inspired by sunsets, deserts, and moonlit skies.
Before her entrepreneurial journey, she spent 7 years at the renowned innovation design firm, IDEO in North America and Asia offices. She led projects for global companies addressing complexities in their organization, and developing creative & strategic visions for their future. Angie’s portfolio spans healthcare, consumer electronics, fashion, lifestyle, and home products.
