Andy Loewy, IDSA | University of Louisiana at Lafayette
Andy Loewy, IDSA, is an associate professor of industrial design at University of Louisiana at Lafayette, where he teaches, second-year ID, materials and processes and history of design technology. Loewy earned a master’s in sculpture from University of Memphis and a bachelor’s of architecture from University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Prior to joining the ranks of academia, Loewy has been a designer of products and worked in the fields of architecture and sculpture. Loewy has written and presented for the ICSID/IDSA World Design Congress, IDSA Education Symposium, Design Communication Association, National Conference on Beginning Design and the IDEC Southwest Regional conference. Loewy has been in national and regional shows and has had his work collected privately and at the Arkansas Art Center of Little Rock, Memphis Brooks Museum of Art, Memphis University and Hampshire College.
