Born and raised in Lima, Peru, Alessia Espejo is the product of racial and cultural diversity. Her mother is American and her father is British-Peruvian. This has colored the way she has chosen to live, interact and design. Alessia believes that the power of diversity has affected her perspective on innovation. As an aspiring industrial designer, she believes that a product’s primary purpose is to contribute to improving people’s lives. Overall, Alessia is driven to create informed design, since she believes that solutions which combine elements of strategy and aesthetics prove to be more successful in solving a problem.
