The head of IDSA’s Student Chapter at Rochester Institute of Technology is part of a group of about 40 students organizing the Thought at Work Conference.
Registration is open for the event, which is set Oct. 20–22, 2017. Last year, up to 400 students from the northeastern United States and Canada were inspired by talks from leading designers. “Our goal is to expose students to new ideas that are absent in the classroom setting, by inviting industry professionals from various creative fields,” says Zoe Gomer, S/IDSA. “This year, we’ll once again have a stacked speaker lineup as we strive to bridge the gap between the classroom and the professional world. We believe that our attendees are going to grow to be our industry leaders of the future.”
Organizers say the weekend is packed with workshops and talks with influential artists and designers, and many opportunities to socialize with professionals and students from around the region, and beyond.
