Brochsteins, a provider of custom architectural woodwork and furniture, opened its doors to the IDSA community here in Houston. A group of University of Houston ID students and IDSA HTX professionals were able to tour their vast workshop and discuss their design process to gain a deeper understanding of their trade. Brochsteins has been serving the Houston area and beyond for the past 80 years. Their beautiful designs can be seen, not only in Houston but in many cities like Austin, DC, Los Angeles, and more. Their aesthetics are reflected on and within their historic building with beautiful “art-deco” pieces seen around their building. Both professionals and students were extremely grateful to see high design in a commercial workshop and to have the ability to network and connect with the welcoming Brochsteins team.
