IDSA Membership Meeting – 2020 Year In Review

On Thursday, October 14, 2021, IDSA’s Executive Director presented the annual membership meeting and year in review. During this session, Chris Livaudais, IDSA provided a look back on our 2020 performance as well as updates on how the association has been navigating our journey through the COVID-19 pandemic. This annual event is an important moment to share information with IDSA membership in a public forum about the current and future status of our Society.  Thank you to those who attended this event live. Usually this is an in-person meeting; however, due to COVID-19 restrictions, the meeting was held virtually.

2021 Highlights So Far

  • Women in Design – Launched new Chapters, Committee, and Advisory Council
  • IDEA – Highest number of entries ever received
  • Design Foundation – Launched new website, new messaging and positioning, increased scholarship to $3K, ongoing revitalization efforts
  • Membership Survey – First since 2016, critical in our ability to understand needs of our community
