This study addresses on gap between the current EV charging services and EV owner’s need by evaluating public EV charging infrastructure from a user satisfaction perspective. It proposes a dual-track strategy, maintaining Level 3 fast chargers for long-distance travel while promoting Level 2 charging systems for daily use. This study advocates for a widespread deployment of the Level 2 systems, integrating User Experience (UX) design principles to address accessibility and user-friendliness. This paper also introduces design concepts of portable chargers, power outlets for widespread implementation, and a digital application for real-time monitoring and control. This study contributes to a seamless user experience by identifying the limitations of the current system and understanding user behavior and preferences.
