The IDSA Philadelphia (PHL) Chapter serves the networking and professional development needs of industrial designers in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and surrounding areas. Some of the activities and events that Philadelphia Chapter has produced include lectures, studio tours, and collaborations with other professional design organizations. In 2008, Phoenix was the site of IDSA’s International Design Conference and Education Symposium which brought together designers from around the world for design dialogue and discourse.
IDSA Philadelphia also supports design students in the area, including Carnegie Mellon University, Drexel University, Integrated Product Design (Penn State), Pennsylvania College of Technology, Thomas Jefferson University, University of Pennsylvania, and the University of the Arts. We encourage a strong partnership between the student chapters and the professional chapter that includes portfolio reviews, career development, and social events.
The chapter officers below were elected to position by members of the Philadelphia Chapter and hold a two-year term.
