The IDSA Minneapolis (MSP) Chapter serves the networking and professional development needs of industrial designers in Minneapolis, Minnesota and surrounding areas. Some of the activities and events that Minneapolis Chapter has produced include lectures, studio tours, and collaborations with other professional design organizations. In 1989, Minneapolis was the site of IDSA’s International Design Conference and Education Symposium which brought together designers from around the world for design dialogue and discourse.
IDSA Minneapolis also supports design students in the area, including University of Minnesota. We encourage a strong partnership between the student chapters and the professional chapter that includes portfolio reviews, career development, and social events.
The chapter officers below were elected to position by members of the Minneapolis Chapter and hold a two-year term.
