Yanpei (Belanna) Zhou, a Senior Principal Product Designer at Ingram Micro, recently earned an iF Design Award for her work on the Smiley O project, a visual identity design in collaboration with Jingchuang Media Group (Wuhan) Co., Ltd.
The Smiley O project introduces a cheerful and welcoming design that merges a smiling face from the hospital’s English logo with dental instruments. The design is aimed at making the dental environment more inviting for children and young people. Through the use of delicate illustrations and charming, simple text, the project reduces the fear commonly associated with dental visits, creating a relaxed and friendly atmosphere in what is typically a clinical setting.
