Member Spotlight: Brooks Atwood, IDSA, Host of Netflix’s “Hack My Home”

We’re excited to celebrate the exciting achievement of Brooks Atwood, IDSA, who is the host of Netflix’s new show, Hack My Home! This show is hugely popular, ranking #4 in the US and breaking into the top 10 in 68 countries during its first two weeks of launch. 

Hack My Home is all about addressing a common challenge faced by many families – the need for more space without the desire to move or overspend on home upgrades. The show assembles a dream team of experts, with Brooks Atwood leading the way in the innovation department. The team includes Mikel Welch on Design, Ati Williams on Construction, and Jessica Banks on Engineering. Together, they tackle spatial challenges head-on, offering creative, out-of-the-box solutions that maximize every square inch of living space. Brooks Atwood’s approach to design has been a key ingredient in the show’s success, transforming overcrowded spaces into functional and stunning environments.

More about Brooks

Brooks Atwood actively bridges design, leadership, innovation and technology. His work as a designer, architect and educator earned him the distinction of being named one of the “world’s innovative creators” by Eyes In Magazine and one of six “Emerging US Designers” by the Museum of Arts & Design. As a professor at Parsons, The New School for Design & the College of Architecture & Design at NJIT, Atwood led collaborative teams that brought together technologies, designers, and business leaders into a common space of possibility. Atwood’s early collaborative work is represented in the permanent collection at the Samsung Museum of Art in Seoul, Korea as well as additional exhibits in Korea, Germany, England and New York City.
