Augustina Liu, founder of IDEATe Institute of Design, Engineering, Art, and Technology, led the award-winning design of Selfeel, an innovative cross-device app that focuses on stress management and enhancing mental well-being. Selfeel has been honored with several awards, including the Red Dot Awards, iF Design Awards, and Indigo Design Awards.
In a world where stress and anxiety are increasingly common, Selfeel offers a modern, data-driven solution to help users manage their mental health. The app integrates objective biometric data analysis with subjective personal reflections, providing users with a holistic approach to tracking and reducing stress.
Selfeel utilizes Heart Rate Variability (HRV) metrics—tracked via wearables—to monitor users’ stress levels over time. The app offers insights into stress patterns, sends alerts when stress peaks, and provides users with comprehensive data to improve their self-awareness of physical stress.
The app also incorporates mindfulness journaling through a gamified daily punch system, allowing users to record their subjective experiences in a fun, engaging way. Combined with meditation playlists and guided instructions, Selfeel supports users on their path to mental wellness, all while promoting social and environmental sustainability through its fully digital operation.
