The design for the Zero SR-X motorcycles was focused on defining an exciting design language for electric motorcycles. The goal was to find the sweet spot for the future of high-performance electric motorcycles that would appeal to both new riders and established gas-powered enthusiasts. The concept was designed and fabricated over Zero’s SR-S chassis without fundamentally changing any of the proven base engineering or rider ergonomics. The point was to highlight the power of design as a tool to shake up the industry and create energy and excitement for electric motorcycles as being both future-forward and familiar to the current motorcycle community.
