WAYB is a new company founded by outdoor gear manufacturing experts and the former CEO of Patagonia. WAYB believes that parents should not have to choose between beautiful design and great performance and that products should be healthier for kids and the planet. The company’s first product is the Pico Car Seat, an ultralight forward-facing five-point-harness car seat for kids ages 2 to 5 made of aerospace-grade aluminum and breathable mesh. At 8 pounds, the compact frame and folding seat fit in a small carry bag. It was designed to exceed FAA and NHTSA standards. Most car seats are made from plastic and foam, which keep costs down but break apart easily. Aluminum is highly recyclable and abundant and gives Pico its light weight and strength. WAYB didn’t forget the little ones. Lightweight, breathable, ergonomic mesh provide comfortable and secure support, keeping your child safe.
