Samsung’s new sustainable design identity for appliance accessories aims to help users intuitively engage in eco-friendly behaviors. All accessories are color-coded based on their use cases: gray for permanent use, green for periodic replacement and manufacturer collection, and brown for periodic replacement and disposal after use. To reduce the use of virgin plastics, we have increased the use of recycled plastics and replaced some plastic parts with eco-friendly materials like recycled paper. Package design avoids the use of adhesives and plastics while utilizing soy ink for minimal printing, and designed to facilitate disassembly.
