Shift

Shift

Shift is an adaptive pointing device that offers an intuitive and accessible way for users with hand tremors to use a computer and regain their digital mobility. A shifting dome provides precise translational control, and a pressure-sensitive track pad tracks large coarse movements while preventing unintentional clicks, improving accuracy that would otherwise be impossible with a traditional mouse. Integrating existing technologies and features has the potential to provide a better computer experience for people with hand tremors. Shift’s design language also allows for greater adoption when compared to other accessibility devices that have a stigmatizing appearance.
