The Midea 3KG personal washer concept was developed with China’s younger generation in mind. A shortage of public washing facilities and lack of laundry shops means students and young professionals must hand wash their clothes, an almost daily chore. Because of its small size and independent water circulation system that frees it from the constraints of plumbing, the 3KG Mini Washer can be finessed into the smallest of spaces. Simply use the removable 2.5 gallon drawer-bucket to fill the wash tub with water. During washing, the drawer-bucket collects the waste water, which is easily emptied in the sink. This concept offers the company an edge in the competitive washing machine industry, not to mention the potential to make life-long customers of first-time buyers.
