GE Air MRI Head Coil

The Air MRI Head Coil is used in brain tumor surgery for patients who get an MRI during the procedure to determine if the entire tumor has been removed. The Coil is an antenna that collects signals that are converted into an image by the MRI system. The device satisfies the needs of both imaging and surgery personnel by using a minimum mechanical cross section to maximize access to the tissue for the surgeon while also placing the coil close to the tissue to optimize image resolution.
