Adæpt is designed to improve computer accessibility for people with cerebral palsy. People with cerebral palsy have unique gestures due to involuntary muscle contractions, and every CP user can find a specific point on their hand to touch other objects, regardless of ergonomic situation. That inspired the device’s touch-pad input. Adæpt also introduces a focus indicator to replace the cursor for navigation; by moving their hand on the Adæpt device, users can precisely control the movement of the focus indicator on the screen. Adæpt offers multiple modes tailored to efficiently achieve specific goals in different scenarios; users can easily switch between modes by toggling the mode button on the physical interface.
