This committee is responsible for developing the IDSA strategy on the composition of membership from all aspects. It also acts as the National Admissions Officer.

Mission
To support its priority responsibility, the committee will periodically conduct needs assessments and analyze the resulting data in conjunction with other internal and external reports to synthesize IDSA’s membership segmentation framework. With this framework, the committee will review and redevelop the membership value proposition on a periodic basis to ensure the society is responding to the evolving needs of current and prospective members in an increasingly diverse and dynamic environment.
Key Tasks
- The Chair of this committee serves as our National Admissions Officer, reviewing and approving all new IDSA members on a monthly basis.
- Support the development and execution of membership recruitment and retention efforts to ensure IDSA continues to take a comprehensive approach to serving members and growing the membership base.
- Participate in periodic membership survey development, deployment, and data analysis.

Committee Composition
Any IDSA member in good standing shall be eligible for appointment to the Membership Committee. The Chair of the IDSA Board of Directors will appoint the Membership Committee Chair and its members. The term of office of the Membership Committee Chair and members will run concurrent with the term of office of the Chair of the Board of Directors.
