The designer of Xi Pixwall created a flexible surface made from six types of block modules creating 11 shades of light. These shades show as pixels and transform the soundproof wall into one large display. The detachable block units can easily represent various images while the projected angles of the block units create shades of light, reflect noise and multiply the use and effect of the soundproof wall. The appearance of the Xi Pixwall changes with its environment and can potentially become a landmark, contributing to the regional culture as a communication force.
