Michael Warsaw, IDSA, says it's an exciting time to be a part of design.

IDSA Member Michael Warsaw is featured in a 2015 media interview. The new vice president of global design and innovation at Haworth oversees the furniture maker’s focus on design and innovation in North America, and business strategy across all businesses and brands. “When I talk design, I’m talking about more than the aesthetic beauty but really the functionality,” he says.

Warsaw finds it’s an “exciting time to be a good part of design” and adds that smart phones are “fueling a mass appreciation for good design.”

Warsaw previously served as vice president of global innovation and design at Johnson Controls, where he worked on concept vehicles; automotive seating and interiors; smart building systems; and retail environments.

He graduated summa cum laude from Art Center College of Design with a bachelor of applied science degree in industrial and product design and studied engineering at the Unviersity of Maryland.
