Hassan (Abolhassan) Pishahang, IDSA, a PhD student in Design at Florida Atlantic University, is receiving international recognition for a series of award-winning projects that blend cultural heritage, advanced materials, and modern design. Over the past year, his work has earned multiple honors, including Gold and Silver prizes from the International Design Awards (IDA) and the Feeel Design World Prize.

Turquoise Dental Office: Gold & People’s Choice Awards, IDA

This calming, culturally inspired dental office design integrates Iranian hues and tranquil turquoise tones to elevate patient comfort. About Hassan

Hassan Pishahang is a PhD student in Design at Florida Atlantic University. He holds a BA in Industrial Design from Tehran University, an MA from Amir Kabir University, and a DBA from Tehran University. With over a decade of teaching experience in Tehran, he specializes in advanced materials, fabrication technologies, product design, and biomaterials. His internationally recognized work has earned him the nickname “Dr. Material.” Passionate about teaching and nature-inspired innovation, he continues to make an impact in academia and industry.
