Susan Sokolowski, PhD, is the founding director and associate professor of the Sports Product Design Graduate Program at the University of Oregon. She has 25+ years of performance footwear, apparel, and equipment design experience, working at Nike, Burton Snowboards, Fila, and the U.S. Department of Defense.
She is focused on issues surrounding design of products for special populations, including women and disabled athletes. Sokolowski holds more than 40 utility patents in the space and has been recognized internationally. She is a graduate of the University of Minnesota (PhD), Cornell University (MA), and the Fashion Institute of Technology (BFA).
