Myrna Lewis, IDSA

Industrial Designer, Fahrenheit Design Myrna Lewis is a multidisciplinary designer who is fascinated by the way people interact with each other, their environment, and the products around them. She’s spent 4+ years designing products in the tech, home goods and appliance industries. Myrna graduated from Ohio State and currently works at Fahrenheit Design doing mostly industrial and interaction design. She is passionate about using collaboration, design research and fun to create sustainable products and experiences. Myrna believes that design and innovation are human fueled, that everyone can be creative in the right environment, and that as designers, we can work to create this environment for others. As Vice Chair, Myrna aims to serve by continuing the efforts IDSA ATX has been making to keep the community connected during the pandemic, as well as introducing in-person events again when possible. Goals: – Promote IDSA and design networking by hosting events both within IDSA and partnered with other design groups in Austin – Grow the Austin chapter through events and outreach – Host skill-building events – Organize single or ongoing projects that aim to educate or serve the Austin community – Encourage community involvement in IDSA events or planning – Carry out diversity, equity, and inclusion goals within the Austin chapter
