Ellen Posch, IDSA

Ellen Posch, IDSA, is an Industrial Designer at Thuma in San Francisco. She currently designs furniture as a part of a small team in a fast-growing startup. Her journey in design began with a focus in consumer electronics at various design consultancies including NewDealDesign and Herbst Produkt. She most recently worked at level design in San Francisco where she did concept work for larger technology firms like Google, Microsoft, and Logitech in addition to working with startups to launch innovative products. With a diverse background in the design industry, she finds joy in working across the field whether it be through technology, lifestyle products, or home goods. Ellen holds a BS in Industrial Design from the University of Cincinnati, DAAP. When Ellen is not designing, she can be found doing handstands on a 10-meter diving platform and keeping up with many hobbies including food, fitness, skiing, climbing, hiking, and traveling. As Chair of the WID SF chapter, she dedicates herself to advancing the cause of women in design, fostering a closely-knit community, and providing invaluable support through mentorship and engaging events.”
