Statement of Candidacy
From the very start of my career, I have had various individuals take time to share their knowledge with me, which has helped me to grow and to become the designer and the leader that I am today. This experience has given me the passion to spend a large portion of my career being a mentor, a collaborator and a teacher, not only to designers, but to individuals who have a desire to learn the fundamentals of design.
It would be a privilege to become the IDSA Midwest District Chapter Representative. This role can serve as another opportunity to work with my peers inside and outside of the design community, in order to grow and elevate knowledge on what design is and what it can do for all aspects of society.
