Byron Wilson

Byron facilitates the creating of value from a strategic design perspective. He brings broad and deep multidisciplinary experience from both academic and professional project work within the scope of technology-based research and development. Byron has a background in biological and medical sciences, education and industrial design and is most interested in the cross section between human-centered design and science as relates to the healthcare sector. Consequently, Byron has lead large innovation projects from early concept design, research, and through implementation. His work has centered in-house and as owner of Empty Set, a design consultancy for leading healthcare organizations and leading R&D labs. Byron studied Biology and Chemistry at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill as an undergrad, Biological Medical Sciences at Harvard University and ultimately Graduate Industrial Design (gradID) at Art Center College of Design and California Institute of Technology (Caltech).
