Furnishing Utopia, Cultural Research and Design Collaboration
Furnishing Utopia is a design collective with the mission of bringing designers together from around the world to design—in response to utopian design cultures and philosophies through workshops, exhibitions and collaborative projects and partnerships.
Since spring 2016, John Arndt and Wonhee Arndt, co-founders of Studio Gorm, have exhibited works from 14 studios developed out of two, week-long workshops exploring the American Shaker culture and values. The work has been shown in New York City, Chicago and Stockholm. Learn how the project came about and how it has evolved.
