Warren Ginn, FIDSA

Principal, GinnDesign & Assistant Professor of the Practice, North Carolina State University Warren Ginn is Principal of GinnDesign in Raleigh, NC, a product development consultancy that develops successful product solutions for clients ranging from start-ups and small companies to academic institutions and large corporations within a wide variety of industries and markets. He is also Assistant Professor of the Practice at the North Carolina State University College of Design where he is responsible for all Materials and Processes courses for the Industrial Design curriculum. Separated by 23 years, he has a Master and Bachelor of Industrial Design from NC State University. Warren has served on the board of the Industrial Designers Society of America (IDSA) as Section VP and was previously Chair of the Materials and Processes Section for over 10 years. In August 2012, he was inducted into the IDSA Academy of Fellows.

Warren is a familiar face within the IDSA community. He has held a variety of positions over the years and was inducted into the IDSA Academy of Fellows in August 2012. As Chair of IDSA’s Raleigh-Durham Professional Chapter for the 2022-2023 term, he has helped revitalize this local community through a series of casual meetups and corporate studio tours. The energy and passion he brings to supporting and building community is truly special and greatly appreciated.
