Cities are facing serious challenges due to climate change and urbanization. As a countermeasure, the Korean government is developing an Eco Delta City (EDC) in Busan, a smart city to promote the fourth industrial revolution and a balanced life. The EDC Smart Village prototype combines smart solutions and energy technologies, bringing people, nature, and technology together. It will serve as a foundation for developing future housing and as a test bed for the best smart technologies. It is a minimalist design optimized for humans and technology, ZBD systems, and smart-construction systems that address global carbon neutrality.
