SAFEUP

Radiological, chemical, and biological hazards are often invisible and difficult to detect, making them a threat to the safety of civilians and workers at accident sites. To ensure the protection of those on an accident site, it is essential to check for residual gases and other potential hazards in the air. SAFEUP is a hazard indicator that provides visual information about the state of an accident site from a safe distance. After being dropped from the air, it reaches the land and inflates a balloon. The chameleon CMF of the balloon’s surface reacts with materials in the air and changes color to indicate the level of danger.
