HOT-MELT RELIEF SCISSORS

Every year countless marine organisms die from plastic waste. Fishing nets and fishing lines discarded in the ocean can easily trap marine animals, cutting into their skin and muscles and even cutting off arteries, leading to death. Many environmental organizations carry out rescue operations to remove the “deadly necklace” from animals. However, scissors with a low cutting efficiency can be of limited use and harm the animals. Recognizing the meltability of plastics, these scissors add heat to the traditional cutting function to more gently remove plastic from animals. Their shape was also redesigned to suit the physical characteristics of marine animals.
