Daniel was born and raised in Tucson, Arizona, where he spent much of his time photographing the reptiles and amphibians of southern Arizona’s backcountry. This inspired Daniel’s passion for preserving nature, documenting its beauty, and pushing the boundaries of the equipment necessary to do both.
Daniel attended the Maryland Institute College of Art where he received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Product Design. Now a first-year graduate student studying Sports Product Design at the University of Oregon, Daniel looks to elevate experiences in nature by designing high-performing products that do not harm the environments they are designed for.
