The IDSA Young Educator Award began in 2008 and recognizes Jr Faculty, non-tenured, or tenure-track educators who have made a noteworthy impact on industrial design education within the early years of their academic career. Through the development of novel pedagogies, innovative methodologies, or advanced theoretical research, these educators are making a positive impact within their communities.
Individuals are nominated by a peer or student for this distinction and a nomination must be accompanied by letters of recommendation on behalf of the candidate. All candidates who qualify are rigorously evaluated by IDSA’s Awards Committee and subsequently approved by IDSA’s Board of Directors before being bestowed with this great honor.
Presentation of this award is an IDSA members-only privilege.
