Sudha Kamath is IDSA’s manager of communications. She generates content for the website’s News and Info section including IDSA News, Member News, Community News and Design News. Kamath also writes and/or edits staff, Board member, member, conference speaker and IDEA winner profiles; the media, Ambassadors and INsights sections of IDSA.org; designUpdates, designBytes and chapterUpdates e-newsletters; INNOVATION magazine and its Yearbook of Excellence; press releases—and just about anything else that brings pen to paper at IDSA HQ. She also manages media requests for interviews with IDSA staff, members, conference speakers and IDEA winners; and media passes for IDSA events.
Kamath began her career in broadcast media, as a news writer and producer at major market television affiliates in Baltimore and Washington, DC—and at CNN headquarters in Atlanta. She then worked as a news and feature reporter/photographer for Northern Virginia newspapers and websites. She transitioned into public and media relations for travel and tourism, outdoor recreation television, non-profit associations and higher education.
Kamath earned her bachelor’s degree in journalism from the E.W. Scripps College of Communication at Ohio University.
